But wanted to make this one low enough the fawns could get in. Hoping to stop this. Hope it is high enough to keep them out. Here is the pen. And hopefully sucessful, no hogs so far and the fawns can get in with no problems. Time will tell if it is tall enough to keep out the hogs. If not I can add some cheaper wire to the top.

You cut cattle panel in half? We built one like that about a month ago to try out and haven't had any hogs in it yet. I'm sure if they want in bad enough they could, but like you we left enough post where we can attach more panel if needed...I hate hogs.

Yeah, cut it in half. My other pen is full size and th fawns can't get in. Hoping this is enough to keep the hogs out.

I have seen fawns jump a 34" hog panel at the age of about 3 months or so. Seen buck fawns jump a 47" net wire fence into oats at 4 months of age. I would think the big hogs might give you trouble after a while on your shorter pens. Time will tell though.

My other pen has 48" panel with spots cut out, and it has been there 3 years. I have never seen a fawn in it. Always see them outside of the pen. That is why I made this one lower. Hopefully the hogs will stay out.

I just fenced 5 feeders with 34-inch panels. Think it'll keep the hogs out but the deer have been really shy about coming in. The feeders have been there for 3 years so I guess they'll return in time. They're a 6 panel circle.

Even this little fence slowed the deer down. I got 1100 pics in 7 days before the pen, now only getting about 40 a night. The first night only a fawn when in, but last night 3 bucks made it in.

That is what I am hoping. I have seen them climb a corner before to get out of something but never seen them jump. Hope I am not wrong.

Same here, tons of pics before and just a few bucks are coming in now. Pics of hogs around the pen now.

They will come back. Just give them some time to get used to the pen. When I built my first one, I left one side open for a while.

I think the hogs will most likely just run through it.

No, they aren't going to run through it. It is more solid than my other one, and it has kept the hogs out for 3 years now.

They might tear out if trapped inside but they won't run through it to get inside!

There was a video a couple of years ago with a guy who built a pen like that and pigs jumped in. He simply walked down with a bow and shot them. Kinda funny.
