Does anyone have a source on a cheap, less than $50, for a crossbow crank. I just had surgery and can't pull on the strings for at least 12 weeks and next week is opener. i can't believe they are so high?

There is not a universal crank that I am aware of. If you shoot a barnett you have to use their crank system, Ten points ACUdraw system on Ten Points ,ect. Barnetts I think are around $199and ACUdraws are around $200-$250. They are not cheep sorry.
