125 He is a pig of a deer and blind in one eye it looks like. I will get back to you on a score on ol' Lefty.

We had one we called lefty since he was blind in his right eye and when we killed him he grossed 194 as a 6x6 with 2 extra small kickers...missed him since I had him at 183 or 184 gross. So I am gonna call this one around 150 as a 5x5 from what I can tell. He does look very large bodied but not much on mass.

What do mature deer like this weigh in Kansas? He looks to be a 6.5 yr old deer in that pic.

Yep, dressed. I would guess this one around 220 based on dads other one. He guessed it at 155-158" so I wanted to see some other guesses. Hope one of them get a chance at him.

South East Kansas. First year to hunt up there. I would love to see the deer you posted walk by. Or one like your 142. Both are really nice bucks.

txshntr, you have been a grea thelp with my post. the kansas deer looks to be around mid 150's. he looks around 4 1/2 though. he doesnt show the roman nose or the sway back that they get at 5 plus. i have land in Iowa and we shoot some real heavy deer there as well. its amazing what corn, beans and genetics produce up there.
Good luck in kansas and may your shot be true

no problem with posting. Great elk. I am still trying to learn the Kansas deer...who am I kidding? I am still trying to learn it all. That's half the fun for me. I would have guessed this deer as being older, mainly because he was the same size last year.

Lease north of Indendence. I've been running cameras since June. Nothing worth posting showing up yet. Some friends of mine have some nice ones showing up though. Good luck to you too.
