I am pretty new to duck hunting. Been a few time and really like it a lot and have decided to dabble into it for my self. my question is what is a good beginner call to learn some calls on and a dvd or cd to learn how to call? I use to go with my brother inlaw but they have moved away and now stuck doin it by myself and could use some pointers.

YouTube has plenty of calling videos. As far as a call. There are a ton of inexpensive calls out there that sound great.

Definitely the buck Gardner double nasty. That's what I learned on and I still use it. Very easy to blow and sounds great and you can't beat the price. I think it's like 24.99

That is what I got also. I like having the cd to keep in the truck to practice with.

In my opinion, the BG calls are the easiest to use by far. My favorite is the Brads Reactor. I just got the new one with the aluminum insert as well. I have nothing but BG calls on my lanyard.

Go to Academy and buy a double reed Quack Head call. In my opinion it's a by far easier call to learn on than the BG. Just my .02

Try to learn on a single reed vs double.

im not a fan of the buck Gardner calls but his teaching ability is second to none!! I would recommend a quackhead p.i.p.e.
