I can't believe that I went down and got my permit to hunt on Whitney and Aquilla.. I was bored, I doubt that I'll ever go out there, I got it just in case someone wanted to try it for doves.

Your best bet would be to look on the TPWD map and see where you'd want to go hunt.

http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/huntwild/hunt/public/lands/maps/

If you hover your mouse pointer over an area and click on it. A bubble window opens and you can open the pdf file for the WMA, which will tell you if it has bow hunting for deer.

there is good hunting in North Texas ... by Texoma... I have a buddy that has taken many good bucks off public land there... big mineral area...
