Besides birds, hogs, snakes, varmits, etc.
Do we have any successful THFer's during the early out of state elk, antelope, or mule deer seasons?? I am still a few weeks out on my first deer hunt but the anticipation is getting to me. I know we have some guys that are either hunting now, just finished or about to leave. Has anyone put anything on the ground?? Post up some stories and pics..

Well, haven't gone out of state yet this season, but in just the last few months, I shot a hog, a Corsican, a Texas Dall and an Axis buck. That's got to be worth a few points...

Dang, you guys must have broken out your super stealthy ninja skills to have bagged those bugs and wieners.

Old School, I hope you just came across those wieners by chance and weren't exactly hunting them! From what I understand, we have a large contingent of wiener lovers on here and some of them even pay for the "canned" variety. They say its much easier that way and for some reason they taste better confused This group although not quite the secretive or closet type, however are very sensitive to the subject so you have to be respectful of their beliefs or they get their feelings hurt. I know they are looking forward to spending quality time at the lease (with the "boys") much like the rest of us are ready to start deer hunting.
Guess I will go kill some time now so I can get on the board.

I got back from Africa three weeks ago, but besides that it's been slow. I was supposed to go elk hunting last weekend on our place up in CO, but it went under contract to sell three days before we were supposed to leave. The buyer's only request was that we would not return to the ranch to hunt ever again.
