savage is coming out with the model 25 in a 5.7x28 and i cant decide between that and a .204 ruger any suggestions

5.7x28 is pretty awesome for a handgun, but I don't think it will be able to produce ballistic numbers near a 204.

I would vote for the .204 Ruger over the 5.7 x 28

MrLucas is right on the ballistic money.

go to their ballistics resource and compare the two, keep in mind the barrel length in each caliber.
5.7 just wont get it done imo outside close quarter engagements (inside 50 yards)
