full of teal. Went out Sunday morning to scout with the binocs and saw several 20, 30 and even 50 packs of Teal. I bet I saw over 2000 of them in 1 hour. Last week, all I saw were Blue wings, but saw many Green wings this weekend. I will be hunting private land, so good luck to all hunting the public this year!

I think birds are early this year. I saw about a dozen hinkers Monday morning. The ones that hunt Lavon are probably thinking you right now. You just invited the rest of the world.

thanks for the intel. I normally do my own scouting, but Pittstate has proven himself time and time again on knowing where the birds are.

Must be landing on dry land because that is all that is there this year on the North Side of Lavon.

I am going to be in the area Thursday evening; I can take some pics with my Iphone. The pics have GPS coords imbedded, this will help give everyone a better idea of where the birds are.

Hmmmm, I'm no mathematician, but lemme think...

The deepest part of those areas are 9' when the lake is full. The lake level is currently -10.11' and dropping fast.

Do they let ya hunt on the shoulders of the bridges? I bet I could lean up against a bridge piling and nobody crossing overhead would ever know I'm there. nidea

They have been there for weeks, so thick at times they bounce off my windshield while driving over the bridges.
Good luck, should be super easy pickings, no mud boat needed just walk to the puddles now.

If you hunt there, you better tie a rope to yourself and a tree, so you can pull yourself out of the hip-deep mud. Seriously, that stuff is dangerous. Ya'll can have Lavon...

Better get there early. Texoma already has blinds built all over it for teal season.

Buddy and I went and scouted Lavon again last night. Only saw about 10 teal, but left 30 minutes before sundown so we could get out in the light. We did see a few Wood ducks and several mallards with 80/20 suzie to drake ratio.

Hope everyone is careful and doesn't shoot any woodies or suzies saturday morning.....it happens every year and is sad.
