I need a place to hunt near Keller for the day for Wednesday. Just me....got the day off and I'd love to just take my shotgun and shoot a few birds. Can tag along with a group or go by myself. Public land would be great, but if anyone can suggest private land at no charge that would be great also..any suggestions?

Well what I meant was if someone owns land and doesn't mind just 1 hunter on it for a morning hunt...maybe exchange a case of beer or something. you're the o.ly one to respond so its not looking good.

You're probably not gonna get any hits for a free case of beer. If you're willing to spend $50-100 you'll get alot more hits. Or you can hit up the last remaining APH field in Denton county but you'll probably be sharing with 50 other hunters.

Even pigs are not free and many would like them gone.

What's funny is hearing about people in other states asking for permission to hunt and having it granted.

That does not happen here.

To be determined

yeah I hear ya. paying a guy $65 for all day hunt for dove in Justin. Found him on Craigs list so not sure if its legit or not. Hoping I'll see a few birds and shoot the limit. I know that land owners are weary bout a bunch of hunters on their property but since it was just me I was hoping someone wouldn't mind just this once. Guess thats what I get for hoping huh?

These day hunt prices for dove are crazy. If you pay your $65, and by chance it all works out and you get a limit. You're paying $4.33 per bird, not counting shells and all else. Go shoot some clays that day at a local range and buy a few chickens on the way home.

I agree...a little rediculous. I pay for the experience of hunting...not for the animal killed. If that were the case I'd have wasted a lot of money on deer hunts where I've come home empty handed. $75 a day is the most I'd pay for dove hunts though. Shells I have plenty of.

Always cracks me up when people want to charge you to take care of their problem for them... but some are obviously silly enough to do it so they keep charging
