I am heading out Thursday evening for a hunt in Haskell this coming weekend. Anyone dove hunting around Haskell the last few days. Seeing many/any birds?

Good birds on Saturday. Birds coming into water all day. High wind today sucked! Limited by 8:15 yesterday...2 birds this morning after 2.5 hours.

Thanks for the reports guys. My friends ranch has numerous tanks that should still have water in them.

limited opening morning just west of Haskell- second morning I didn't limit but one other guy in our group of 12 did. No water anywhere near us. I think we hammered local birds and as the opening day went into this weekend the birds got smarter and more scarce. I had VERY low expectations that were easily exceeded- I would really hate to be an outfitter this year.. so dry..

Hunting was real good around Haskell thru yesterday am. This front has moved alot of birds around. They will group back up in a couple of days after it quits blowing so hard.

Hunted Haskell area Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. Ponds had water and had shots. High winds Sunday A.M..Seems like local birds were reduced on opening days. Should improve with fronts.

Took limits on the 1st and 2nd about 6 miles southwest of Haskell. Saw about 1/3 the birds compared to last year. Water was key.

Last year in this area had sunflower fields chest high. Saturday no crops at all. Thankful for the shots we had. Ponds filled in the last three weeks on isolated rains. Great area and fronts North will be good.

Ndhunter - tntx and I hunted the same property sat/sun that you hunted thurs/fri. We were there at the same time as you last year for a late season weekend. I heard your spot was still hot this year. Congrats on the limits.
