First Night
I arrived early to scout and set up. I needed all the advantage I could get since I would be heavily outnumbered. Using the wind and terrain, I positioned myself where I hoped they would angle past me so I could close in behind them, cutting off their exit and optimizing multiple lines of fire.

Hours later, the most fierce warriors of the herd entered the battlefield as expected. The wheat stalks were crunchy, but I was walking with the rows rather than across them. When I was surrounded by hogs, I started the fight, which ensued throughout the night and into the dawn. For every one I killed, two took his place. At sunup, the night scope was rendered useless, and I was forced to retreat.

Second Night
I was a little surprised to find hogs returning to same field the next night. An earlier rain softened the wheat stalks and gusty winds worked in my favor. I snuck in under the veil of complete darkness. Young pigs scampered my direction until they found the spot they liked and settled in for an evening of quiet grazing. I slowly closed in until the largest hog spotted me. Within seconds he would grunt and start a stampeded, but I was already looking right back at him... through the scope. Their feeding frenzy ended abruptly with a hail of gunfire.

After a few rounds the gun jammed. I dropped the mag, cleared the chamber, slapped in a new mag and racked the bolt. I was back in business, but not for long; a few shots later, another jam. The gun was just too dirty. Luckily, no one was running at me from confusion (or hatred). By the time I got the jam cleared, it was over.

I was sure I hit 6 or 7, but I only found 5 from this herd. All these hogs fought well and died great deaths. I paid final respect to the fallen by lining them up and pealing out on their heads (compliments of Erathkid and son). The hogs and I will continue to seek each other out because in the end, there can be only one.

Well done Amigo! I was with a group this weekend that shot several hogs off my lease but I couldn't post any pics cause I knew we didn't measure up to the bar that has already been set!

Picture this DJ, Leonidas stands alone in front of his deceased comrades in arms in the Pass of Thermopyle, roaring defiance in the face of overwhelming odds. Of course I stuck your face on his body so you really should thank me.

Used a pair of camo Snuggies for 2 new sets hunting blind drapes. Had my wife pose in the left overs......

Couldn't find the camo version, but I did come across this one. Not sure what you were doing in the kangaroo pouch or why you felt a need for the headlamp. I can only surmise.

I can see where this is leading. I'll need to order some Depends here soon. Uncontrollable laughing will lead to a loss of bladder and bowl control.....
