Just curious......
Why would people wear camo, and sit 30 feet from a new truck with chrome and reflectors on it, as the sun came up in their face?
Hide them trcuks boys, or walk a ways away from them...

I guess if you are hunting country dove it makes sense. I hid my Truck and hunted away from it but would return from time to time to get shells and put birds up. I ended up shooting just as many by my truck. I think many of the birds I shoot go out into the fields by day and come home to the city at night so they are used to cars and not afraid of them since they never shoot at them....whereas people with what looks like sticks do.
Dear Lord please bullwhip me for saying this but I agree, Marcstar is in the lead. Please nobody use this as a quote!!!

doesn't make that big of a difference. We had 5 trucks parked together 20 yards from the hot corner where I hunted and the dove came through steadily and sometimes 6-10 at a time because that was their normal flight path.

Some of the best dove hunts I have ever been on were sitting on the tailgate of the truck..LOL Closer to cold beverages!

I'd ask him if he's pregnant. He missed a s__tload of periods. I'll take "things that look like a uterus" for $200 Alex.

trucks dont make a huge difference... Ive killed plenty birds standing by the truck while putting our game plan together....but we typically hide ours and walk a ways from it.

So if the chrome and reflectors don't matter.... why all the camo?
(BTW, hunting from a tailgate is expensive...)

(BTW, hunting from a tailgate is expensive...) A truck will look more normal and less threatening to a dove than a person sitting in a field with a big loud stick...

As a whole I think it does matter. But there are exceptions, we've all had deer walk thru camp too! I prolly wouldn't park my white work van at the front of the field where there are 30 hunters either, lol.

They always fly over when I'm trying to take a leak. ( Next to my truck)

So if the chrome and reflectors don't matter.... why all the camo? I like to be about 50 yards from my truck, that way if the truck flares the dove, they flare to you. But movement is key, blending with the environment helps hide movement, trucks don’t move. .

I think I use the same strategy too. They flare to you.
