Full story is in the Varmint/hog's section but I thought I would go ahead and post the pic here cause it turned out pretty nice with the lighting. Yeah a little bloody but that sick thing needed to be shot anyway. My girlfriend said it look's like a chupa. Kinda funny cause she doesn't know the forum chupa joke.

thank's man. Wasn't the best shot and thank goodness it wasn't a big whitetail cause the wind drifted the bullet 7-8 inches left and caught the gut's. Still got em' though. I had the 25-06 a foot or so over her back

All I can say is that making a 412 yard shot, you must be very familiar with your rifle, round, and sighting system. I know it doesn't not happen with "luck." Good job!

i couldnt see that thing at 412 yds Actually told my buddy "hey a deer just stepped out in the field", put the bino's up and began tha' belly stalk. She was prob 450ish when I first saw her crawled 35-40 yard's to clear a little hill then took the shot. yeah, we went to the rifle range right before we went out there to his ranch and I had all the confidence in the world out to 250-300 but 412 might have been a little bit of luck lol.

Great shot on a nasty looking thing! All I can say is that making a 412 yard shot, you must be very familiar with your rifle, round, and sighting system. I know it doesn't not happen with "luck." Good job! My first big game kill was at 486 yards (wheeled off after the shot) and I know beyond all certainty 20 some years later I had zero business taking that shot even though it pierced the heart of a nice buck antelope. Total luck and I know it!
