Going down over labor day to get everything set up on the new place. Would rather not have to haul down 1800# of corn. Anyone know of a good place to pick up some bulk corn?

Riggs Feed(north 9th street) and San Saba Produce(across from courthouse) both in San Saba. Riggs Feed was $9 a bag last week.

I usually buy from San Saba produce or if I just need a few bags I go to the Super S. I try and make it a point to buy my corn here around Fort Worth as it tends to be cheaper. But I don't haul it all down in one trip.

You can count on Mr.Yarbrough in Cherokee. He has the hardware/feed store. Carries tons of corn, protein blocks and usually has a corn/pea mix.

I went to San Saba Produce on the square for the first time this summer. The salesman told me if I called him and was coming by really early he would set corn out for me and I could slip a check under the door. I thought that could come in handy. He was about $0.50 cheaper than the feed store.

Saw it last week for 9.50. Guy said it was probably going to go up quick bc of fungus a lot of growers are getting.

Is he on 16? Don’t think I’ve ever seen the place.

Ive heard that on here as well. I think its PMK that uses them and maybe QSYB started using some. Lampasas, I think.

yep, Brown's in Lampasas, $7.50 for 50 pound bag (9-19-2024), keep the bags and take them back the next time for 10 cents refund.

If your closer to Llano there is a nice Lyssey Echols store there. South into Llano turn left at light store will be on the left.

Word of warning on Browns, it’s not always the cleanest. If you have a finicky feeder I’d proceed with caution. My Treeline jammed on it; my two Ranch Kings didn’t bat an eye. Maybe I got some that was off the very bottom of the bin. He buys it by the train car and bags his own.
