Nice pics.
Some of the first ones should be coming out of velvet right about now. Couple of years ago I set up my cameras around the 25th of August and the first deer to show up that night was a 9 point already out of velvet.

Cool, I thought it was too early. Glad to hear it is on schedule. Thought the drought may have been effecting them.

Two of the largest bucks I've ever seen alive where hard horned on labor day about 12 years ago.

Thanks guys, not sure any of these are going to be shooters this year. Still think they are a little young. Maybe that biggest 8 point, but I think he is 4 at the oldest. Was guessing his age at 3 last year and had a scope on him on many occasions.

Helo Looks like you hard work and patience is paying off good deer Thanks Bobo, we have been passing on lots of nice bucks, they are all just too young. Hopefully I will get some age on these bucks one of these years.

I think the buck on far right in pic two is a different one than the one in first pic. He (far right) looks to be mature (check out the width of the neck on that thing) and a shooter. Nice buck. Others look young but should be bruisers next year.

Others look young but should be bruisers next year. I am hoping to have a better pic of him soon. Won't be any from last night though, we did some riding around shooting rabbits till late. The reason I say it is him, is because of the shape of the left antler main beam and the G-3. If I could see his right hand brow tine I would no know for sure. I am only seeing one buck with the right hand brow tine that is long and curved in. I have thousands of pics of him in velvet, and his shed from last year. As far as the body it is hard to tell from pic to pic. Some pics they look old and others young, I think it is just the angle they are standing.

It has been picking up in August for me, not a whole lot last month. I think most of my neighbors are not feeding right now either, which probably helps.
