3 1/2 for the 9 pt. Good growth in this drought. Kind of what I was thinking! I'm going to check my card this weekend. I should have more pics of him to look at and hopefully some more of other bucks too.

Yeah I know where Katemcy is. My grandparents live right on 29 when you are coming in to Mason on 29. Their house is right before the Highway Department, it has the big red 18 wheeler on the side of the road. Dan and Linda McFarland are their names. I hunt on the 5 acres they live on, and then I hunt right up the road on a little place that Freddy Kettner owns that borders 29 and Ponotoc Ln, which is the road that goes right next to the Highway Department.

great looking buck. at least 3 1/2 years old. Thanks mbavo, this is my first year bow hunting and I'm planning on doing in exclusively! If I can get anymore pics that prove this deer to be atleast 4.5, I might take a crack at him with my bow. If not, then it'll have to be next year.

You probably know my dad and/or his brother. Mark McFarland is my dad, and Freddy McFarland is his brother. They grew up hunting Old Pontotoc and Old Smoothing Iron, if you're familiar with that big rock which I believe is in between Mason and Llano.

My parents house borders the Katemcy Rock crawling place. They have a few good bucks that show up on their 10 acres. Small world in fact.
