How is the early teal hunting around Port A? Who is a good outfitter to hunt teal with down there?

I scouted that area 3 days ago.. Spent 3 hours on the water and saw 2 groups.
If I was you I would go further South towards Kingsville or Mathis. There are not many outfitters in that area that do early teal because of the amount of big water the teal are spread out on.

Saw a few small bunches last we in rockport, nothing huge, but I wasn't in the backwaters either. Call jeff steckler 361-319-1081 He a great guide and will tell you if its worth you time How is the early teal hunting around Port A? Who is a good outfitter to hunt teal with down there?

If you don't stay with a guide and go down there on your own, where are good places to stay? What town? Port A? Rock Port? Corpus Christi?

Well I called 3 outfitters this morning (including Jeff Steckler) and none of them have called me back. Our wives are planning a trip to Port A in September and my buddy and I would like to make a hunt while we are there. I would really appreciate a hook up. Who are some guides further South I could contact?
