Want to buy some NICE looking water keel deeks, mallards, that I can fill with water, chunk them and they land right side up. I got some Flambeau mallards now (actually made in the 80’s hardly used someone gave to me) that I’m satisfied with (look wise) that are water keel, but they got holes on both ends on the keel, so I can’t fill them up with water and chunk them where they land right side up.

Any suggestion? I know I could put some weights on the ones I got so I can chuck them, but that defeats the purpose of water keel deeks.

I'm looking for light weight good looking mallard deeks....

I use G & H decoys. I let the sand out so that they are not as heavy. They still turn right side up without the extra weight.

I would go with the Drake brand decoys, and leave off the keels.

Awesome deeks! The main reason I got them was for the removable keel. The paint is solid too and they all have swivel heads.

Got a doz brand new for sale $75 PM if interested.

You can't throw the Drake decoys out and them land right...I have a dzn and while I like'em that is definitely a downside of them.

Good ideas. I'm gonna try something like that. Loves those deeks, but the holes on both ends I don't like...
