Fibroma, common in deer in some areas. Will loose it this fall or early winter. Will not effect the deer or the meat from a deer in any way as it is on the skin only.

We shot a mule deer a couple years ago covered in huge growths like that. We reported it to the game warden who had no idea what it was and didn't even care. We were too afraid to try eating the meat because no one could give us a straight answer on what it was.
