I hunted there many years ago, the dove hunting was awesome. The deer hunting was respectable but the landowner was a little too flakey for me. I own a private water system between Bangs and Brownwood and seldom see deer around there on my monthly trips to that area.
So tell him to do his homework because some areas have little to no deer and others seem to be well populated.

Dove hunting is usually great. As far as deer are concerned it depends on where his lease is located.

I used to hunt Trickem, Tx., a suburb of Bangs. There were lots of deer and dove. Indian artifacts everywhere. We lost it when the land owner sold out. Great Hunting. Get on the lease.
