Thinking about investing in an aftermarket string stop. Either the limbsaver one or that string tamer II one. Anyone have any experience with these products? Just curious as to how much they actually quiet your bow down..

Had the string tamer on my old bow and it worked pretty good. My old bow was already quite but it did make a small difference.

I think mine is. Also stopped the string from oscillating so far forward it hit my arm guard. I now only use it with loose or bulky clothing. My string will last longer too.

I work hard, drink a little and hunt when I can.

Ok, I apologize. I had a vibracheck on mine and I paid aorund $30 for it and it was well worth the $30. I dont shoot with an arm gaurd anymore. It dampened the sound/vibration and saved me many 4 letter words from the string hitting my arm.
