Well I finally got around to making and finishing one of the three blind plans I posted a while back. Ended up going with the 6-sided blind and really was impressed with the room I think I will have inside. Here are a couple of build photos and installed on the lease.

If your interested shoot me a PM for the plans. I have sent out lots but no one has posted any results so here is mine.

Looks good, looks very roomy but where you placed it, it looks like you can only shoot out of one of the 6 sides.

Stand is close to a corner and I will be able to shoot out three sides. The other two windows will get some mesh in front of them but will still be able to see if something is coming up from behind on the adjoining property. I still need to do a little trimming but got one in place and hopefully the elevated one in a couple weeks.

Nice! Got any inside pic's of the windows? I'm trying to figure out how you made them.

No pictures but they were not hard to make. I took some 2x2's and cut a 3/8" deep grove in them with a table saw about 3/16" wide by running them twice over. Then I mitered the corners. I got some 1/8" glass cut about 1/4" smaller in size than the grove depth and fit together. I pre-drilled the corner holes for 1 1/2" screws and added some glue for strength.

To help keep out water and bugs I made the cut in the plywood opening about 3/8"-1/2" smaller around the sides and top for some overlap.

How tough was it to get in the air? Did you have to have a tractor?

I did not set it up as one assembly. I set the bottom on first and then attached each wall separately. Each wall section probably weighed less than 50#. I had someone had me each wall. Roof was tricky just because of the size but it was not to heavy. If there would have been a strong wind thing would not have been as easy.

I LIKE!!!

Built a pair of those myself a few years back. Wish I had kept one for myself. Loved em, but a little too time consuming compared with 4x6 or 4x8.
