I just called, and the first half I put in for have not been drawn, but the second half said disqualified. What does that mean? I dont want to be disqualified. I didnt do anything wrong. Hehe. Anyone have an interpretation of that?

From TPWD website:

• ONLY ONE APPLICATION PER PERSON will be allowed in each HUNT CATEGORY (example GDE: Gun Deer Either Sex). A person may
apply in each of the HUNT CATEGORIES (examples GDE, GDA, EXO, etc.). If MORE THAN ONE application is received for the SAME
HUNT CATEGORY (GDE) with the same individual’s name or Social Security Number appearing anywhere on the application cards, ALL
applicants on the application cards will be DISQUALIFIED and the application fees WILL NOT be refunded. It does not matter where
your name appears on an application card, THAT IS YOUR APPLICATION for that hunt category. Even if another person puts your name
on their application card or you apply for different areas (Kerr, Chaparral, Garner, etc.) in the SAME HUNT CATEGORY (example GDE),
EVERYONE on those cards WILL BE DISQUALIFIED, and none of the application fees will be refunded.

Did you apply for more than one place?? For example, did you apply for a archery deer hunt at "XXX" and another one at "YYY"?

I have a question about it, on the special permit it says "other group members". What does this mean? If I get the draw, they can come and hunt with me?

I'm going to apply for some mule deer hunts in big rough county, I don't want to have to go out there by myself.

On most hunts, you can include up to 3 other people. If you get drawn, all the people on your card get to hunt as well. But, if you get drawn and didn't put any group members on with you, you cannot bring anybody with you on the hunt.

Alligators were drawn on 8/4. Hogs, Javelinas, Exotics, and Turkey hunts will be drawn in October.

My buddy was in on the alligator. Would they have contacted him had he been drawn?

To check on results best bet is to call TPWD.

I've got a question guys. If you draw a hunt that's by compartment and not by blind or stand and say you have 2 buddies on the application with you do each of you get your own compartment or do all of you have to hunt in the single compartment? Baker

You all hunt in the same compartment. Bigger the group, the bigger the compartment you get. At least the ones I've been on. Me and 2 buddys drew an archery hunt few yrs back. We had about a 700 to 800 acre compartment.
On some hunts, they may even put others on there with you. Had that happen twice on my son's youth hunt, but the compartment was large enough to accomendate them and the other youth and their dad never was a issue or got in our way.

Thanks for information Sqiggy. My son drew a youth hunt at Mason Mountain and we had a compartment to ourselves. If I ever draw a hunt myself I hope to have a decent size piece of land to hunt for a few days. I've got so many notice of non selection notices I could wallpaper an outhouse with them. Good Luck to everyone in the draws. Later Baker

Anybody put in for the PLE Hunt at Pecos County Ranch?
I was going to but it got too late to send in the entry form by the time I noticed the "rancher's choice on an elk". Oh well snooze ya looze!

Alligator was NOT drawn on August 4th, that date was the application deadline not the drawing date.
