Some of the people posting in the post under me about corn prices are naming prices very high. I'm just giving yall a tip about protein feed. First off when the deer are in velvet they are going to be a lot bigger than what they normally would be when they come out of velvet if you feed them protein. Second off for most of y'all the protein is cheaper than the corn.
Just trying to give you some money saving advice.

Not all protein is created equal. Just because it's cheap does not make it good. Found this out the hard way..

True Stumpy, Academy has "Feeder Filler" thats 7% protien for $8.97(40lb). One place I looked at has 17% protien for %9.50(50lb)

I think he was pointing out that deer protein is cheaper than corn. For example have seen Purina Antlermax cheaper than corn, Gorman Milling Red Chain Deer Chow 17% is $8.65 for 50 lbs is a great quality feed and cheaper than most corn, etc.

Gorman Milling/Red Chain Feed. They have a website, but the last truckload I actually picked up in Gorman. They Have dealers around as well.
