My brother and dad went down to our place this weekend to do some more work on the camp house, and put up an extra feeder and water trough with float that we had out in front of the camp so we have some game to watch. They put it up around noon today and already have deer at it while they watch a hundred yards away!
Why do I have to be at work?

I don't think your feeder is high enough. No - it is high enough. The deer are just really short.

I think the feeder could be a few feet higher
A hunt based on only trophies being taken falls far short of what the ultimate goal should be,time to commune with your inner soul as you share the outdoors with the birds, animals, and fish that live there. -Fred Bear

Well yal think mine is too tall and I think about 90% of them on here are too short, when the deer/hog/cow can reach up and hit the motor its too short. Grandpa built the feeder about 30 years ago and its worked just fine It spreads the corn out more when it is higher up more deer feed more comfortably

FAA violation unless you have red beacon on top!
Seriously though my timers are at eye level and I'm 6'6". A few years ago I saw a buck stand up on his hind legs and butt the timer to shake the corn down.......thank goodness for a well built varmint guard..!

Nothing worse than having a busted spinner box and 300 pounds of corn spilled on the ground.

I raised mine 5' over the summer. It is now about 12' from ground to spinner. I got sick anf tired of the cows/hogs/deer and coons tearing up the cage and spinner. It can never be too high...

Yep. I have mine up high too. I did it that way from the very beggining just from hearing others stories. 2 years so far with no problems.

Add a blade and turn it into a Guillotine with a quick release and you can just chop their heads off with the touch of a button.
