 Seconds after we stopped to glass a wheat field 6 hogs entered from the brush line. They fed quickly to the other side, and it took a while to catch them at our quiet pace. There was no problem taking out the endpoints on queue. The remaining 4 hogs split up, 2 running left and 2 running right. More shots rang out and my side grew still. Not sure what happened after that, but Flint claims to have killed the other 2 hogs on his side without my help. He must not be aware that you can't kill hogs with a .223. Either way, it was a clean sweep; 6 up, 6 down.

That's a pretty meager performance for 2 of you.... I hope the survivors of herds I've shot into find each other and regroup. It would be unfortunate if they're learning that they don't have safety in numbers and stay in small groups.
