Has anyone ever tried smoking a 1 lb package of ground breakfast sausage? I had a guy in camp get up early one morning, take a pack of Owens Country Farms breakfast sausage, peel the wrapper off of it and put it on the electric smoker about 4 a.m. He set the temperature at 240 degress. He cooked it till 7:30 a.m. In the meantime, he whipped up a pan of homemade cat-head biscuits. He sliced the sausage like an eye of the round.We took the sliced sausage and made sausage biscuits. It was by far the best sausage I I have ever tasted. Try it when you get a chance. It may be the only way you ever cook it from now on. Fantastic!
