 Addax hunt.....

I spent this past weekend hunting Addax with some good friends on a ranch southeast of San Antonio..... To my surprise, the Addax on this ranch were UNBELIEVABLY skittish.....and the hunt ended up being one of the most challenging of my life. I've been to at least a half dozen different properties with Addax, and none of them were anywhere near as wild as these were. I ended up taking a nice mature bull the last morning of the hunt. It was one of the most rewarding and enjoyable hunts I've ever had (even though it was BRUTALLY hot and humid the entire time). Here are the results....hope yall enjoy. congrats! The first picture you don't realize how big that thing is. What stick did you get him with?

congrats! The first picture you don't realize how big that thing is. What stick did you get him with? I shot him with a .300 WSM using 180 gr. Winchester XP3 ammo.

Rought measurement put him at 34"-35".....but I don't really care. He is a big, heavy bull.....and he's very symetrical, which is more important to me. He will make a handsome mount with the dark forehead.

Very nice! I spent the weekend hunting Axis up near Rocksprings. It was overcast and low 70s most of the time! Thought I'd died and gone to heaven...
