I'm thinking about replacing my sinking Readhead brand decoys this fall and this is one of the brands I am thinking about...opinions????

I have used them while hunting with a friend. Nice decoys. Movement is great with no keels attached to them. Being he only used them one season I cannot comment on the durability of the finish.

Yep, the movement thing is what has my attention here and I hunt mostly where the water is a little over ankle deep. I learned real quick the more natural looking movement you have in your spread the more likely you are to sucker them in. I picked that up hunting windy days.......What even I get is going on Texas rigs so they will have to with stand rough treatment as well. That's one thing I can say about the Redhead brand decoys. I have beat the daylights out of these decoys and they still look good. They just unexplainably develop leaks in the keel slot....

the drake double duty decoys are very nice. without the keel, they are perfect for walking in. the swivel heads give you the options to make them all a little different.

I have a dozen brand new in box, never opened that i'll part with for $85. let me know if you're interested. i bought 2 dozen but realized i only needed one.

I have used them for 2 years now and they are AWESOME!! Best decoys I have ever owned (and I own more than I would like to admit)!!

I may do that...they are on the high end of what I want to spend...I wish I could get them in a half dozen.....I learned from watching them on the Barney that they are usually in smaller groups than 12 and that just doesn't look natural when you have that many out. I'd like to build a spread that is high in number but only has about 6 or less of any species in the whole thing. It seems like that is what I see when they are feeding.....I used that strategy last year and it seemed to work. I just had GWT and mallard....This year I will have BWT's as well. Got them for Christmas....Coots usually have a presence in most feeding groups as well, I think it would be nice to have a few of them as well........

The Drake decoys are actually reasonably priced, in line with Avery/GHG, but in my opinion they are much better quality. They will move across the water with barely any wind at all! The drawback is they only offer mallards right now. We usually hunt approx 3 doz decoys, usally mallards and teal with a few other species mixed in for variety.
