I posted pics of the mount last week when I picked it up, but my taxidermist sent me one he had made and I thought it deserved a post of its own. I kinda thought his suggestion that I buy some of these pictures was silly when I have the actual mount sitting in my living room, but after seeing this one, I think I will buy a couple unprotected copies for a photo book.

Very nice mount! If it were me though after the coins you just dropped with your taxi to do that mount he might outta give you a pic if wants to be your taxi on future mounts. Better yet just take some pics of your own of the mount to put in your album.

Its not really his choice on the pictures. He paid a photographer to take them. I could (and have) taken pics of it myself, but the quality is a night-and-day difference. I posted some that I took on another thread.

It's a once-in-a-lifetime buck. Spend some cash to have the pics if you want them. I'm about 100% sure I'll never have the opportunity to pay someone for pictures of a 200-class buck I took free-range. I'd still pinch myself every time I walked by it.

I would have said the same thing up until about 5 minutes before I shot this one. You just never know.
