 Went to the new lease for the first time yesterday.....

Is it September yet! Gonna be a long summer. We saw a TON of dove, and abundance of quail. Saw a nice heard of turkey and lots more turkey tracks. Jumped 6 coyotes in the fields, should make for some good predator hunting to pass the time this summer. And....six deer in the middle of the 100deg day! Loads of dear tracks, rubs, etc. Hung three stands and cameras to get started on the scouting. After a very disappointing year last season...I hope this place turns into a long term spot!

Sounds like a good lease. Quail are a plus on any lease.

Having quail on a place would be a serious bonus. I haven't seen one of those in about 10 years!

That sounds great and also about the quail, and the fact they are living in harmony with the coyotes.
I noticed he didn't mention the H word.

Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.
