I have never done my own arrow fletching, but I am getting tired of having to carry my arrows to the shop to get them done. What is a decent Arrow Fletcher that I can get (on the cheap side hopefully). Also, what else am I going to need/need to know. Thanks for all the info.

Cheap isn't the best choice but I have one I bought for an interim unit. I will sell you for $20.

Best the Arizona Quick Fletch, much faster and easier than some of the jo jan or other with the individual pieces.

Or just go with the Nap Quick Fletch a bit more money but no overhead. Gets down to how much you actually plan on shooting.

Arizonas are awful. I tried one and threw it in the trash. I have a Jo Jan and a Bohning. Both work great. I dont fletch mine anymore I use the Quickfletch Quickspin that you dip in boiling water. Easy and they come out perfect. I still wrap and fletch Wendys arrows because she doesnt like any of the Quickfletch stuff

I have a JoJan 6 arrow jig with 5 clamps (left hand twist) that I'll let go for about $60 shipped. It works great, I just stumbled into another one, and can't justify owning two jigs.

Bohning flethching jig. Bought it at Academy. It works ok. I just used a Blitzenburger too long. Gotta buy one. My buddies son grew up and took his back from me. My buddy had quit bowhunting and I had it for a few years.

My son started using a Bitzenburger when he was 12 years old and from day 1 has done a great job of fletching.

If your fletching blazers ot any plastic fletch for a compound an Arizona works great. Have used one for over 10 years with no issues. If your using feathers and want more helical go with a Blitz for the absolute best or the Grayling. the grayling works well but is metal like the Blitz is..If your close to Mckinney and want to experiment, come by and we will fletch a couple so you can compare..

X2, I agree nothing beats a Bitz! I've been shooting and teaching archery over 40 years.

when i have time at home i have a Bitzenburger....
When i go to camp, i always have a pack of Nap Quick Fletch just incase. the advantage is you can boil a pot of water over the fire and fletch your arrow in a hurry. Gotta have a plan-B.
