 Several hogs have been giving me the slip for a few weeks now at a peanut field. I waited on them until midnight and then checked another spot that has to be approached on foot. It took me forever to stalk up on it since there was little wind. It was worth the effort because I drilled this good boar at 25 yards.  By the time I made my way back to the peanut field, it was very late, but the herd was there and stretched out between two pivot towers digging away. They were making me look bad so catching them in the act resulted in the maximum sentence...death by firing squad. I tried to get a better angle on them but they busted me and started running. I should have emptied the magazine more quickly, but I couldn't help but pause briefly to take in the shots that resounded with a prideful thud. When the last shot rang out, there were pigs scattered across the circle. Several made it to the neighbors place and were not recoverable. Also threw in this coyote just to mix it up.

In that second pic I can see the lights of Lubbock,I can just imagine mothers clutching their babies in fear when the shooting starts.

Glad ya'll enjoy the pics. Not sure how long I can keep this pace up. 30 minutes of sleep doesn't go very far. I'm hurtin' pretty bad right now and another farmer just called to tell me hogs hit his field last night. I think I need a camper instead of a gooseneck.
