I'M LOOKING FOR A LEASE CLOSE TO MIDLAND. I HAVE 2 YOUNG BOYS THAT I WOULD LIKE TO TAKE HUNTING IF WE CAN FIND SOMETHING CLOSE. DEER WOULD BE OUR FIRST CHOICE BUT WE WOULD ALSO BE INTERESTED IN VARMITS AND HOGS. WOULD BE WILLING TO PAY GOOD MONEY FOR A QUALITY LEASE THATS CLOSE. WE RESPECT OTHERS AND THEIR PROPERTY
WILL NOT BE USING IT FOR "A PLACE TO GO SHOOTING".OR PARTYING!
IF YOU KNOW OF SOMETHING LET ME KNOW THANKS.

Spade is at/around Colorado City. Most leases are going to be further then an hour out, if you want decent hunting. The one esp is offering is a good place. Lots of deer and turkeys. Garden City has decent hunting and close, but there is never any lease spots

Good hunting can be found real close to home if you look hard. I would look for a place along Monahans Draw south of town. This is where my family ranch is (or was... those fires pretty much wiped us out). Mine's not for lease or anything, and I doubt you would want it anyways for this season (620 of 640 acres are ash) but just to show you what's out there in your backyard...
These are from my ranch (essentially rite behind the old Texas Instruments Building).

I live in Odessa and can be to the Ranch in Colorado City in an hour and fifteen minutes..... go do alot of evening dove hunts out there and predator hunts.....
There are some decent deer in that area so if you live in Midland you are within an hour's drive......

Another location that is friendly to us (drive wise) would be somethin in Glasscock County. I can get to buffalo springs ranch in under an hr from Odessa. But as KWR said, ya can't go wrong with the Colorado City area. Both areas produce great west texas whitetails.

I have a good friend and his dad who hunt just south of Sprayberry and used to hunt just north of it. LOTS of good deer out there. He does euro mounts and is pretty well known there in Odessa for them but he's always said people drive too far and miss out on a lot of good deer hunting.
