Anybody else ever been there? Took my wife for her birthday last night and we have been there several times before. We like it better than any of the steak places in DFW, with the exception of one (Pappa's Brohers). Rick's always cooks the steaks to order and the sides are amazing. Not to mention the prices are much better than you will find at other steak places (Del Friscos, III Forks, Bob's, Pappa's brothers, Nick and Sam's, etc.)

I've been there, went when visiting some friends who had relocated to the Metromess.

I had elk medallions as my entree. Had to have been fantastic as I remember what I had and it was over a year ago.

Great selections and pricing with both the food and the wine.

Definitiely a plasce I'd return to, and off topic, but I thought the whole old town scene was pretty neat.

I've only been twice.
Had an excellent exprience the 1st time.
Had a less than impressive the 2nd.

That said, after my wife emailed a complaint,
Rick has invited the entire party (of 11 none the less)
back for dinner on him. So I can't really give it
a bad review as of yet. Probably just an off night.

A couple of my buddy's dads got treated really bad there one evening and it ended with them getting into with rick. Its a pretty funny story, one of them reminded rick how he got last place in that reality show he was cooking on, and the other one threatened to buy 4000 dollars worth of gift cards for the restaurant around the corner and stand outside handing them out for free just to discourage people from going there...

Finally had a chance to go back to Ricks Chophouse
for our meal, Ricks treat.

6 adults, 3 kids, 2 infants.
Service was great; friendly and attentive
without being intrusive.
Food was exellent; Appetizers and salads. Beef steaks, Elk tenderloin, fish dishes, kids menu and desserts all put to the test and everyone was very pleased. A few beers and wine before and with dinner.

We never expected our entire check to be picked up.
Just the main courses would have been above and beyond
what most places would have done, but it seems customer satisfaction is VERY important at Ricks.

Any off nights or misunderstandings aside, Ricks Chophouse
is a wonderful place for a special dinner. Don't hesitate
to make a reservation.
