Quail workshop slated for May 5

“This workshop is meant to update area ranchers and landowners on different topics dealing with quail management,” said Tyler Bobinmyer, AgriLife Extension agent in Kinney County.

The Texas AgriLife Extension Service will conduct a Texas quail management workshop from 8 a.m. until noon, May 5 in Brackettville.

“Taking advantage of your property’s resources is important for many to survive, and quail management is just another avenue for ranchers and landowners to improve their revenue.”

Dr. James Gallagher, AgriLife Extension wildlife specialist, and David Rios, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department biologist, along with Tim Milligan, of Plateau Land and Wildlife Management, will conduct workshop trainings and presentations.
