hello all... i have a 1yr old Boykin i would like to have participate in some trails... however, Boykins are not a breed that is allowed ot participate in the NSTRA trials. so, that brings me to ask you all if you know of any trials in North Texas that he could enter? any information would be helpful... thank you all in advance... have a great week

You aren't going to find a Boykin specific field trial, but you could participate in Spaniel Hunt Tests or in retriever tests. What type of hunting do you do/plan on doing with your dog? That would dictate which event you enter him in. The closest HTs for Spaniels that I know of are at the lbj grasslands and down by Austin.

Sure. I dont know a lot about the retriever tests, but I can tell you more about the spaniel tests if you'd like. They are basically a mix of upland type hunting and some retrieving.
