Howdy Gents,

I'm currently deployed to Afghanistan, but when I return in June, I will be reassigned from Ft. Hood, TX to Ft. Bliss where I will thankfully retire in 3 years. I'm an AVID Predator Hunter and wanted to see if any of ya'll know where to go hunt Coyotes/Bobcats in the area. I'd love to hop on a hunt with anyone that wouldn't mind me tagging along. PM me or reply if ya'll have any ideas or offers in mind. I plan on going to the Bliss Rod and Gun club once I get into town around July. Thanks again!

New Mexico will be close and tons of public hunting land and the license is cheap. Thanks for what you do!

Like Cattle69 said thanks for what you do. Stay safe

Thanks guys! It's been a long and draining year, but I'm ready to come back home to TEXAS. 3 years to retirement, thank god! I will check with Mulie-Mike and see what he's got for info.

Like Cattle said, New Mexico is Close, and they have millions of acres. The calling is decent in that area. The predator masters convention has been there the past few years, and we have hunted all over that place with a little luck. Good Luck.

With you being stationed at Ft. Bliss you have access to the military base which is a huge area to predator, varmint, and bird hunt.

Its free and some of the better hunting in the area. There is also alot of vacant land people hunt on the far east side of town.

You can also look up Mountain Shadow Lakes/or El Paso lakes, it is far far east El Paso and is near the Hueco mountains, we used to shoot boat loads of fox and yotes out there year ago. I think its like $20 to access it for the day.

I have some larger properties withing 2 or 3 hours of El Paso with plenty of predators, I wouldn't mind exchanging a weekend of predator hunting for filling a feeder or two, cutting some firewood, etc.

PM me and we can talk some more if you would like.

Jeff,

Thanks for the info. I've looked into the New Mexico route a bit and I registered with them online and took the Cougar ID class for the heck of it as well. Sounds like some fun out that way. I'm a DIE HARD Texan and sometimes that pride keeps me from looking elsewhere. I'm learning to work past that, though. LOL.

I'm a HUGE fan of your DVD's, by the way. I've got 'em all. Several of us predator hunters within this unit watch them quite often out here in Afghanistan! I'd love to hunt with ya sometime and pick up some experience and pointers. Thanks again...

I just bought an AR-15 from DPMS/Panther Arms with a free floating barrel and chambered in 5.56/223 through a program for deployed units to Afghanistan and Iraq. I can't wait to use it when I get home!

Oh, you guys sent DVD's out here for free? I bought 'em. LOL. I'll keep an eye out for the next PM hunt. Hopefully, I won't be deployed again during that.

Jeff,

Just wanted to let you know that I got your package of 3 of your Predator Pursuit DVDs here in Afghanistan. Thank you so much! We already watched 1 of the DVDs before we got alerted and had to head out on a mission. Thanks again and I hope I'll get the chance to hunt with ya soon!

Art,

You can hunt Hogs in New Mexico without a license, also in Colorado. I made a few trips up to the Lincoln Forest north of Ruidoso NM until they closed it. Right now I'm in the process of checking out the areas close to Carlsbad and up by Brantley Lake. The Game Wardens have been very helpful in giving me information as to where hogs have been seen. I'm also in the process of putting together some Pig Pipes. The main office of NM Game and Fish told me that baiting is allowed for non-game species (Hogs) but nothing else. If you bait, hunt only the hogs, anything else will get you a fine and possible vacation in one of their hotels. Of course, you can't stop others from using the baited area to hunt other game. They will get caught, fined and given the vacation.

Hey Art, If you are gonna be stationed at Ft.Hood you have the best predator hunting around. I have hunted some places around Pidcoke area and there is plenty around that area of the base for a man to get a barrel hot. Thanks for your services.

Hey Art, That is awesome! It does me good to know you guys are getting some entertainment over there! Do me a favor and put Predator Pursuit on a missile and send me a pic! (If they let you do that) That would be awesome! I would put that on the website for sure! Maybe even film a clip of you guys with it, and see if I can squeeze it on the TV show this year!

I can have my guys do pretty much anything that isn't illegal. LOL. Unfortunately, I'm leaving REALLY quick from here back to Texas and we had to pack up all of the stuff to get sent back to the States. Maybe I can print up something off of your website and enliarge it and we can take some pictures or take some videos! There's several of us Predator hunters out here and I'm sure that they won't mind. We're psyched to get back and do some huntin out in El Paso soon.
