I second that! C&C wild game processing in Elkhart has some of the best smoked sausage and jerky. Plan on making my way up there this season.

I have heard C&C in Elkhart is good.I have used a processor in Patroon TX. Don't know the name but there is some great sausage and summer sausage!

So are they new this year? I didn't know there had been a processing option in Jacksboro since the processor they had there coming into town from Bridgeport\Runaway Bay went out of business before I started hunting the area.

I've been using Clear Fork in Graham and while they are good I wouldn't mind checking out a cheaper option. They have some processing options that Clear Fork doesn't have too.

One nice thing I can say about Clear Fork is I had shot a deer late last year and didn't have a chance to pick the meat up before the season ended and I quite going out that way all the time. They came with a refrigerated trailer and delivered to Cabela's in FW making the drive alot shorter and giving me a reason to go to Cabelas smile

Bay Area Deer Processing in Pasadena is a really good spot. I've mostly just had sausage made there, but they make the best jalapeno and cheese sausage links I've ever had

I'll give them a try too. I can't get breakfast sausage links, jerky, etc. at Clear Fork. Besides, I usually pick up meat when its ready on Sunday after the morning hunt on the way home. Going back to Graham is out of the way but this place would be on the way home.

Cox processing is right off 377 between Comanche and Proctor. I havent taken a deer there in ages but seeing that its still in business after all these years, gotta be doing something right. Also theres a new one in Dublin thats been getting alot of talk called Clays.

Although i recomend doing it yourself. Takes some time, but i enjoy it.

- Beating stick at walmart 10$
- cheap but efficiant grinder 60$
- Dehydrator for jerky 60$

Taking a deer to get processed 150$

Can't beat Frankie L. Svehlak Ennis Tx. for processing a deer best i've ever used you can eat off his floors what you bring him is what you get back don't like his sausage for that I use Kuby's or Whispering Pines Emory Tx.

High Country Processing in Lindsay does great work! They are a new business but are extremely good at it. I took them a pronghorn and had some smoked sausage links made. It turned out great. Try them if you are in the area. You will not be disappointed.
