Well it's been a couple of months now since I posted about my Catahoula Gus going missing. I hate to give up on him coming home but it sure doesn't look like he's coming back. Figure I need to find my next partner since every time my 20 month old little girl sees a dog on tv or out and about she either says puppy or Gus. Looking for a pup or two to raise from young up with my kids. Like a good working dog as well as a protective family dog. Anyone got any ideas or litters coming up I am looking and going to be in the market. Looks don't really matter much as long as it's a good loyal dog. Thanks!

Sorry to hear that you didnt find him. I would get the same dog you had before seemed like you liked him a lot.

I have a Lab Border Collie mix. From what i have been reading this one of the most loyal Dog breeds out there. Border Collies are working dogs but I havent a clue on how they would react to herding. my pup in far into training and he progressed quick. He should be a great hunting dog even with the Collie in him. Labs and Collies are some of the smartest dog breeds out there. just my .02 cents

I have had a great exp. with my pup which is why I like them. There are so many great dog breeds out there, getting a pup is fun as long as you dont bring your wife/girlfriend or kids with you on the first few trips.

Good luck picking out a pup

there is a dog on the forum in the classifieds right now. Just what you are looking for

As to the species of exercises, I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise and independence to the mind...Let your gun therefore be your constant companion of your walks--Thomas Jefferson

Give the Blue Lacy dog a look, I love mine and they are smarter than a whip and could do everything you mentioned plus more.
