yeah it's within 50 miles of lavon. Dallas County is a 30 mile square, so use that as your judge of distance.

this would be a good thing if they would draw the lake down, but with it high it pushes the pigs on to private property or into the thick brush.

This is true. The stuff around lavon is THICK. I got me a little bow spot though that Im gonna try hitting up this year. Alos, its not quite free, you have to pay fifty bucks for a permit if you get drawn.

Lavon does not use permits anymore..

i may get slammed for this, but i would say western okla, land prices are still respectable, 1000 an acre, many bruisers running around, darn near kansas deer, if your close just sayin, and i live in tx, for that matter try around shamrock tx

Lavon does not use permits anymore..


I saw it on the lavon corps of engineers web site last week. No they don't use a permit anymore, but this is a special permit for special means to hunt hogs with...

According to the ranger I talked to while filling out my application..."NO CHARGE if drawn"

Could be wrong, but that's what I was told.
