I read a couple post of guys leaving a couple on the ice well this morning we shot 10 and had to leave 9 on the ice, it was ridiculous and pissed me off cause i couple i wanted really bad.... now what is the best way to get them off gonna hunt in the forum and there is no way they can spoil.. probably a pole with a rattle trap. any other ideas

Man, that sucks. One's eating at me bad enough, I can't imagine 9.

Yep, we had to work to get all of ours off except the one. Ice just got to thick and I thought one of my friends was going to swamp the little boat he was in trying to get the last one.

We called him back, wasn't worth dying over.

Dog worked fine for us this morning, was funny watching him slide across the ice though.

I'm gonna try the DWADR tomorrow. I'm also gonna bring my baitcaster with a big top water dog on it...

it is an @$$ woopin to get them but you got to try... if you are set up in a spoy where you cant retrieve them then you need to set up somewhere else...

I agree we passed on tons of shots this morning that would have been dangerous for the dog to retrieve, we waited and still got our 4 man limit though.
If you know you can't retrieve them whats the point in shooting them?

We got all of ours but one.....he was frozen to the ice. We used a fishing pole, what a beating.
