I am purchasing a Ruger 204 tomorrow and want to mount a tripod to it. Anyone have a suggestion or opinion on what to get?

Shooting sticks. Mounted bipods get pretty heavy in anything but the short prone model which is not effective in tall grass. You can get shooting sticks that adjust from sitting to standing, one, two, or three legged.

Bog Pod shooting sticks (tripod) is what I recommend. I had a tripod mounted on my rifle, just didn't like it there. If i have time, a standing shot is my preference. Bog pod will offer you sitting or standing capability.
