I really like the BDC...
I have all sorts of scopes...including a $1000 leupold. In my opinion the inexpensive $350 bdc nikon hands down is a better scope...than any of my big dollar scopes.
Just proves money doesnt always buy you a GREAT scope.
The main drawback is all the circles in the reticle... Unless your shooting field mice... I dont really think its that big of a deal?
Just my opinion...

BDC is stupid and cluttered. What a bunch of crap Yep, I think people rave about it just because it's used by guys on tv. My papa and one of my best friends both have a bdc scope and the circles are basically pointless. They didn't match up with distances at all and each circle is a standard size(big). Pretty nice optics for the money though. I think Nikoplex(standard cross hair) would be the way to go on that brand No offense to COWDOG, but I think there are several different reticles that work better than the bdc and at a similar price. Burris' ballistic plex has worked pretty good for me-it's just hash marks and they give you a little ballistics card for a specific caliber with a certain grain bullet.
