Facts are as follows; contacted corey anderson to book a trip for my son and I as he received an unexpected trip(leave) home from the coast guard for the holidays. we had booked the Saturday after Christmas. Our instructions from him were to call Christmas night and he would tell us where to meet him and details. We called as instructed and were told because of weather he could not get to his good spots. we could hunt behind his lodge, but if we would call back the next night(Sat.)he would put us on the birds(Sunday). We said ok sooo we called all evening Saturday and he did not anserw his phone nor did he give us a call --- bottom line screwed out of a hunt(Son's christmas present)he has to return to duty--- You be the judge. I saw a reference on this forum for him that's why I called him

Seen this post while lurking and decided to join. I had the same problem with this same person earlier this season. I have yet to get my deposit back or a phone call answered or returned. I will never refer anyone to this person. All I can say is I hope the people on here who keep recomending this guide open they're eyes some day and quit. He gives all guides a bad name if you ask me.

Well, I will start out by saying man, I am so sorry. I feel bad that this weather screwed up your Christmas present for you son as I now have a son of my own and would hate to dissapoint him so I know how you are feeling.
Up here in North Texas we are not used to getting 13 inches of snow in one night (we actually had 18" where I was planning on hunting in the morning). As to the calls: My phone did not show any missed calls, not saying you did not call, just saying service in this area is far from good. I should let you know that you would of probably not had much fun driving up here or staying here for that matter as all the pipes were frozen as well.
Bottom line: if your son is still in town and you can make it out, THE HUNT IS ON ME!!!
Again, I am sorry and feel bad about this unfortunate situation and will do what it takes to make it right.
Sincerely,
Cory Anderson

Not sure what you are talking about exactly since we only cancelled a handfull of times due to bad weather AND either myself or one of my dove guides were at the gate informing hunters that we could not access the land at that time. But if a dove hunt deposit means slandering my company name, I hope you feel good about that. PM me your address and I will get you your $35 asap.

This seems to be being handled well on both sides and I respect all parties involved for it...
It seems to be the exception to the rule lately on both sides of the fence.

response to Cory Anderson and concerned parties. My son had to return to his cutter. He will probably not get to come home for at least a year. This is particularly a hard pill to swallow because he loves duck hunting more than anything and is having a hard time at his current duty station. received via moderator notification
