Can any tell me if all of Cooper lake is WMA type 2 hunting where you have to buy the $48 type 2 permit? I've been wanting to make a trip over there but all of Coopers web site mostly talk about fishing on the lake not hunting.

Sweet! I just joined this place cause I heard there is a lot of information about places to duck hunt. It's already paying off. I'll be in the 1468 with a gator tail. See you at the ramp! Should I bring my diver deeks? I just got a killer duck commander call too!

You forgot you to add your call with metal reeds to list...just in case there are any ducks within a five mile radius with poor hearing!

Cooper is not the place to go trudging around blind. It can be very dangerous, not to metion all the stumps. Some of that flooded timber can be in 20 ft of water. I still wont go unless I get an invite. I want atleast a whole day of scouting before Id attempt hunting that lake.

Whats the face paint for? We playing football or baseball? I prefer tape but if face paint is what you guys use I'll pick some up. I've never heard of a metal reed duck call, do they sell them at Academy? My grandpapy told me just to bring a regular ole whistle to call in the pintailers. Whats the limit on those? I'll be bringing a few of my buddies also. They have never duck hunted before so I am going to show them the ropes. Do we need to sight in our shotguns? Say hi if you see us. Here's apic of Cleatus and Beauford.

Id like for everyone on the forum to please state how long they have been hunting, and how long they have been using the face paint.....Based on when the first commander video came out, how long have you been enjoying this feminine like process

Cooper is an easy place to hunt.

Get out there about 30 min before LST, and drive your boat back into a cove. Look for the flashlights/spotlights, they are just other guys trying to be cool and help you from getting turned around, kind of like a lighthouse on the coast.

They will act all bent out of shape, but just set up about 75 yards from them, that's plenty of good spacing. In reality you are doing everyone a favor by keeping the birds moving.

I have been duck hunting about 30 years now, and have worn face paint off and on for about the last 20. I used to wear some fleece masks but that irritated me on days that weren't so cold. I like the freedom of not wearing anything, while taking the glare off my face.

And for the record, I never watched anything put out by Duck Commander until this fall.

I don't think there is anything feminine about it at all.

not to mention when you go to 7-11 to get a 6 pack on the way home, you walk in and spot a SMOKIN HOTT chick and you think... "man I think she is checking me out" then you get back in the truck and realize you got Chit all over your face.... It is very similar experience to having a huge booger hangin out of your nose in the same situation...

Now you could carry some Noxema cold cream like my grandma (god rest her soul) used to put on her face to remove the makeup and take it off before said beer purchase and I guess that would be ok.....
