I hunt on 1200acr pine tree ranch. On the backside there is a stretch about 150yrds of hardwoods and pine trees on each side of the hardwoods. I know any pine trees in the area belongs to us. I put my stand up against the hardwoods and a feeder on one end. Get to my stand Sunday morning and there is a note on my stand saying that stretch of hardwoods is not part of our lease and to move my stand and feeder. Well there is no house or anyone around there to make sure so I put it there. So no big deal, I must have made a mistake. So I crunched though the ice and cold and took me about 45miu to move my stand 60yds on the pine tree side then moved my feeder. Didn't want to get in a pissing contest on who is what. So that is how my Sunday went.

Thanks, Jigfish

at least they didn't move it for you.

It's still "we the people", right?

Might be a good idea to leave them a note back saying something to the effect of "Sorry, didn't know the stand was off of the property. It won't happen again. Thanks for not trashing my setup."

BTW - Both you and the other landowner did the right thing. It's a shame all of the property line problems can't be worked out in a similar fashion.
