Like most places in the hill country it depends on the neighbors. You can have a lot of deer or next to none. It all depends on what everyone does. Make sure you check it out real good first.

Would like to know how the hunting is there might be looking for a place there soon. Howdy new neighbor! I hunt (and live) just NW of Boerne (about 15 miles south of Comfort) and the deer are THICK here. About equal number of Axis and Whitetail-I mostly hunt Axis (more of a challenge plus the family much prefers them on the table)....I fish a lot near comfort on the Guadelupe river and the deer seem to be very numerous there as well.

Where is the best place to look for a Ranch? I will be there after the first of the year are there and good places for sale and how much an AC are they running around there.

I recently looked at a 10 acre "ranchette" with a three-bedroom two bath and outbuildings about 8 miles east of comfort. It was listed at 169k....

I was going to look at around 500ac or so Thanks for the heads up. That will be pricey in this area-mainly I think due to the proximity to San Antonio (straight 30 mile shot down I-10). The further from the interstate the better the price.
