I've got a nice little spot for a south wind!

I would just like to have any wind at all, 8 of my 9 hunts this year have been with little or no wind at all.

Common kdub, your slaking if you don’t have spots for all wind directions!! Say you got 2 spots, spot 1 NW wind is to your back, spot 2 wind is to your back with a SE wind, these 2 type spots you are set for any wind conditions. up

Na I've got spots, I might end up hunting a crosswind, that works pretty good. I just like my North wind setups better.

Crosswinds are the best, because when they are comming in, they are not looking at you. My first limit was with a cross wind!!

Something special about a north wind spot. Hard to beat. My best hunts seems to be with a 7-10 NNW wind. Love it! Gets my heart pumping.

Forecast for my location actually show's 0 mph at 6 am saturday.

I don't know what way to face confused2 I guess before and after that time are southerly though.

I think its going to be OK. Wednesday with good north wind and cold temps to bring in new birds and then a couple days of southerly winds to hold them up and lull them into lolly gagging around.....then WHAM!! right in the mouth.

In this situation, face West it is the best.

Last years honey hole for me had to be a cloudy North wind day. If you had those two things. Lights out. If you had clear morning they would come and go by the time LST came around. If you had no wind, or south wind. Never show up.

I just prefer for the wind to blow! However, if I had a choice, it would be hard out of the Northwest...

Seems like half the country this weekend will be going through blizzard conditions with temps in the single digits, while here in N Tx lows are forecasted in the upper 30's...Im thinking there should be ducks everywhere..especially with the 1st split being so unseasonably warm. Or I could just be overly optimistic..

I'm in Dubuque, IA this week. There ain't no ducks around here.
No high forecast above 25 for the next 7 days and even the river is frozen over.

I prefer the clear days, but sure wish we'd still have the north winds.
