I do sometimes, have an A5. Saw some at Cabelas the other day. It was steel and I think $15 a box. I like Bismuth, so I dont shoot it much. But went fun hunting with it the other day and the Bismuth rocks!! Shot 4 ducks with 5 shots. 16g is a great gun. Hope it makes the come back that the 28g did.

I hope it does too. I have one of the first 870 Wingmasters that my grandpa gave me. I love shooting that gun. I also want an O/U.

Honestly, I wouldn't want to shoot anything other than lead, bismuth, or that tungsten matrix shot of kent out of an old 16. I've got a SxS that I want to start killing a few ducks with myself, I just have a hard time spending that kind of money on those shells.

Just an FYI, 1100's(auto) and Wingmasters(pump) are two different models. I have a pair of Wingmasters, and I wouldn't trade them for anything in the world. In my eyes, they are the best gun ever made.

Check your choke size you might not want to shoot steel

quackadikt- I have a 16 ga wingmaster that my granddad gave me. He got it in the 60's and hunted with it. He gave it to me on my 16th birthday. I absolutely love hunting this gun. I have killed everything with it except ducks since it only shots 2 3/4. I searched the serial number and I think it's one of the first ones made in 51. I will never part with this gun.

If it has a fixed choke just use the Bismuth shells... Classic doubles is great, non toxic and works like lead, just a little on the pricey side but great ammo

they are great guns. I have a 20 and 12 and I want a .410 and 16 to round out the whole set. I think that the next gun I buy will be a new 12 that will shoot 3". I don't know how old my 12 is(got it for Christmas one year and my mama bought it from a pawn shop) but it is stamped 2 3/4" or shorter on the barrel.

Don't forget the 28 and the 10 gauge! If you're going for the set.

They don't make a 10(not that I would want one anyway). I don't know that I would want a 28 either, so maybe i'll skip the "full set" and stick with the .410, 20, 16, and 12

Oh, you're going for a full wingmaster set. Sweet! I though you just want A gun for the full set. That's a cool collection right there.
